Identify the responsibilities at risk
Look for work known by one person, unrecorded vendor relationships, privileged access and recurring tasks without another prepared owner. Include operational knowledge held outside the IT team.
Prepared people and usable knowledge keep responsibilities moving when staff, providers or needs change. We work on that continuity inside RDA and help clients prepare their own teams.
RDA is not currently accepting new clients. The responsibilities we have already accepted need trained people, time and attention. We prepare for those responsibilities before taking on more.
New people learn the environment, procedures and responsibilities through supervised onboarding. Before someone works alone at a client site, they need to be trained for the work and approved for that assignment. Preparation includes knowing when to ask for help and how to bring the right people into a decision.
Continuity depends on knowledge within RDA and within the client organization. A useful record explains the systems and procedures; people also need to understand why the work is done that way, where decisions are made and what to do when the normal arrangement changes.
Inside RDA, we work to maintain that knowledge through cross-training, shared documentation, supervised work and practical handoffs. We help clients develop their own knowledge and coverage so their operations do not depend on one person remembering every detail.
Cross-training needs to fit the role and access a person is authorized to hold. The objective is prepared coverage and a usable path for decisions, with ownership and licensing respected.

Agree on coverage, cross-training, useful records and the support needed during leave, a vacancy or an unexpected departure. Check the plan with the people who would use it.
Retirement and role changes need time for explanation and practice. We help clients identify what must be transferred, prepare receiving people and connect the plan to recruitment, vendors and available resources.
Review coverage when people, applications or responsibilities change. A contact list and an old procedure need a check that someone can still act on them.
Client training is part of implementation and ongoing support. People need to understand the work their systems support, the procedures they are expected to use and the route for questions or exceptions.
Training, walkthroughs and documentation reinforce each other. Where a client is preparing an internal IT team, we help transfer the operational knowledge, access and responsibilities that team will need.
Growth may lead a client to bring IT roles in-house. A planned transition includes document transfer, authorized access, open work, vendor contacts, walkthroughs and checks that the receiving team can carry the responsibilities forward.
RDA remains involved through the agreed transition while the people taking over become ready. The relationship can evolve into hybrid support, specialist work or another arrangement that fits the client's next stage.
