RDA service guidance

Documentation supports continuity.

Documentation is part of daily management. We maintain usable operational information as the environment changes so your team can understand the systems, dependencies, responsibilities and outstanding activities.

When responsibilities change

Operational records support an orderly handoff when staff, vendors or service arrangements change. The plan identifies responsibilities, timing, walkthroughs, acceptance checks and a recovery approach. Access information and operational records are transferred to authorized recipients through appropriate secure processes.

Keep the operating information usable

  • Inventories, configurations and service dependencies
  • Account ownership, authorized access and license assignments
  • Operating procedures, vendor contacts and support arrangements
  • Current projects, outstanding issues and next actions
  • Monitoring, security and recovery arrangements

Plan the handoff

Agree how services will continue during the change, who receives each record and how the handoff will be checked. Walkthroughs and verification help the receiving team understand the environment. Closeout includes access and license changes, asset reconciliation, record retention and acceptance.

Keep ownership clear

The operational information needed for client continuity is distinguished from RDA's proprietary internal methods and third-party materials. Existing ownership, licensing and confidentiality terms continue to apply. Your team and RDA agree the transition responsibilities, deliverables, timing and resources.
